There are many causes for the printer to be offline. There are many causes for your printer offline. Here is a quick step to disable the SNMP setting which is one of those basic causes of this problem.
Note: Steps to open the Printers, Printers and Scanners, or Devices and Printers window may vary depending on how the OS has been configured. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for additional assistance.
- Open Windows Settings > Devices and Printers.
- Select Printer and Scanners.
- Select your Printer > Manage.
- Select Printer Properties > Ports Tab.
- Select the Configure Port button on tthe bottom right.
- Uncheck the SNMP Status Enabled box.
- Select OK, and then Close.
Your printer should now change from Offline to idle. Sent a test print to validate the configuration change. If successful, you will see a test page on your printer.
